There are moments when you realize this is more than just an event. More than just a workshop. More than just something fun to attend on a Friday night.
It’s a ripple, and you’re part of it. First, thank you. Truly.
Our recent soap making workshop was such a beautiful gathering full of laughter, creativity, and yes a little unexpected “danger.” Jacqueline led it so brilliantly, and watching everyone create, connect, and simply enjoy the moment together was something special. But what you may not fully see yet is what your presence made possible beyond that room.

We want to share a story with you. Not just any story, but the heart behind everything we’re building together.
Recently, our founder Walter Okidi stood before over 500 people and shared something deeply personal. Years of growing up in Northern Uganda during war, displacement, and unimaginable hardship.
A childhood marked by instability. A family of eleven navigating poverty. A mother who once rode her bike nearly 70km carrying her child after losing him because access to medical care simply wasn’t there.
It’s the kind of story that stops you.
The kind that puts everything into perspective. Yet through all of it there was something stronger than the hardship. Faith. Hope. And a God who never left.
From that place of pain came a truth that now shapes everything we do. That no life is forgotten. That no family is beyond restoration. That dignity can be rebuilt. Today, that same family is thriving. Educated. Serving. Leading. Restored.
But many families are still living what that story once was.
That’s where you come in.
Because of you yes you showing up, creating, participating families across Uganda are receiving seed funding to grow food, support their children, and rebuild their lives with dignity.
This is what Compassionate Hearts is really about. Not just gathering people but bridging worlds. Not just creating art but restoring hope. And we’re just getting started.

Your Friday night workshop. It becomes someone’s fresh start.
Your creativity. It turns into provision. Your yes to attending, it echoes across nations.

Compassionate Hearts
